    The duo concert with Erik Wollo in Germany last Saturday was a big success. We weren't prepared to do encore's together but the public would not let us go. So we decided to do a long improvisation for piano and guitar. It was Beautiful.We've been asked to do some more concerts over there, we'll see.

    It's been confirmed that I will perform at the annual Schallwelle awards in Germany.Erik Wollo and I will both perform a solo set but in each set we'll play a few tracks together. Place to be , Planetarium, Bochum, Germany, march 10th.

    Last couple of month's I've put a lot of energy in the production of the coming Fish on Friday album. The follow up to Shoot the Moon, which gave us instant recognition in today's Prog scene,is going to be a damn strong album. 75% has already been recorded and the album is sheduled to be released before summer 2012.

    Fish on Friday, the Belgian Progpop band I'm in as lead singer, keyboardplayer and producer, is spending the summer in the studio to work on the follow up album to Shoot the Moon. Some great new songs have already been recorded and I'm very excited about the quality of compositions !
    On general demand I'll also start work on a new EM album by the end of this year. My albums Geographic and Docking will also be reprinted as double "back to back" album. It's the third reprint for Geographic.

    De concert at the CC Aartselaar was a big succes.
    We had the venue rocking and sold out.
    It was also so much fun to finally perform 1000 Ohm's hit A.G.N.E.S. once more in an FoF rock arrangement.
    The audience loved it.
    Had a little headache next morning :-)

    It's now sure that Fish on Friday will perform at the CC Aartselaar on February 19th.
    The CC is a beautiful venue with 470 seats, so don't wait to long to order your tickets.
    It'll be an extended show compared to the one in Antwerp, which had only 350 seats and was full house !
    And....we'll be playing A.G.N.E.S. as an encore in a FoF arrangement.
    All you 1000 Ohm fans, this will be your only chance !!

    I've kept it quiet for a while but rumours are spreading.
    Yes, I'm playing in a Prog band project called Fish on Friday. Right now we're working very hard on the debut album.
    All I can reveal for now is that it is a very high quality Progressive rockproject with great songs and featuring some of the best musicians Belgium has to offer.

    A Merry Christmas to you all.
    2009 has been a very succesful year.
    It's been a very productive year and never before I've been producing that much albums in one year.
    This is also why I hardly found any time to compose music for myself.
    First own work to be released in 2010 will probably be the collaboration album with Kris De Bruyne (great Road Music !)

    Air Machine is doing very well in the U.S. and went from 11 (last month) to 8 in the Echoes Top25.
    Echoes is the biggest U.S. national radio program dedicated to Ambient,Electronic and instrumental music in general.
    It is broadcasted on over 300 radio stations

    I'll be spending most of the summer producing Mindgames' third album.
    Later this year I'll be working on the Wollo/Van Bogaert album, a new Ghiribizzi album,a collaboration with singer/songwriter Kris De Bruyne and I'll probably start work on a brand new 1000 Ohm album.
    I've been going through some very old recordings (1980-1985 era) and found some great songs and New Wave gems.
    They just need to be recorded to today's standards.
    On 12/9 I'll be at the Electronic Circus festival in Germany promoting Air Machine.

    I'm proud of this one and also of the fact that
    this album explores new musical territories.

    Frank will perform on the E-live 2002 festival at the Technische Universiteit (TE) in Eindhoven on Saturday 21/9/2002.
    He is sheduled to perform as first act in the evening. The set played will be a kind of "best of " compiled out of his four albums with an little emphasis on the latest release "Human".

Biography
Born in 1962, Frank’s musical career started at age18 with the founding of the successful Belgian synth pop band 1000 Ohm.
He states: I consider these 1000 Ohm years, from 1980 to 1987, as my formative years.
They where more important than any other schooling I had.
That’s when I learned to play and love synths. Curiously, the stuff is still in demand . I think that 1000 Ohm ‘s music is still regarded as a good showcase of the sound and attitude of the 80’s.

After 1000 Ohm’s split-up, Frank spent a couple of years engineering and producing for other bands before buying ACE Studio near Antwerp.
This is where Frank finally set up his business as a professional composer, producer and engineer.

Since his first EM (electronic music) release of "Colours" in 1997, Frank immediately reached people with his ability to translate his emotions into instrumental, mostly synth based but very organic, music.
His following release,“Geographic,”(which won the German WDR Schwingungen awards for three categories; best album; best song and best artist in 2000) really defined his style. His subsequent releases, “Docking”,“Human”and "Closer" both share this kind of magic, while more and more people got to know his music.
As label manager Ron Boots (Groove Unlimited) states: “people who get to know and like one Van Bogaert album, always come back and buy all of his other releases.
It’s the unusual cross-over between his keyboard driven music and the kind of music that’s “more out there,” like film music or world oriented songs, that appeals to many.

When asked how he puts that emotion into his music,Frank replies : “I really don’t know, it just happens.
I always found it easier to talk in music then in words.

In 2006 'One out of Five', a 'best of' album was released.This album was compiled by choice of Frank's fans. 2007 was the 'Nomads' year. This album is by many regarded as Frank's best work ever.
A statement of living ambient legend Steve Roach about 'Nomads' :'if Vangelis heard one of these tracks he'd go looking for a day job'.

2009 sees the release of 'Air Machine'
It features famous Norwegian ambient artist Erik Wollo on guitars and explores new territory.The album is highly Progrock influenced without losing it's ambient feel. Frank has been producing some of Belgium's leading Progressive rock bands lately so the influence is obvious.

In 2010 Frank decides to take a break from the electronic music scene and, together with keyboard player William Beckers,forms a new band Fish on Friday.Fish on Friday produces highly accessible Progressive Poprock and it's debut album "Shoot the Moon"is among the best received debutalbums in the Progrock scene of 2010. A few concerts are given to promote the album. Fish on Friday is working on a new album due to be released in 2012. Hereafter Frank is planning to be working on a new solo album and there's rumours about a concert in Brussels by the end of 2011.
